Cloud storage application Proton Drive has developed a tool for Android users!
Proton Drive automatically sends photos to a private cloud server. The software not only automatically syncs photos and uploads them to its servers. It also categorizes images based on when the photos were taken. There’s also a management tool that Proton Drive calls “snapshots of your life.” All of these features are exclusive to Android users only.
All you have to do is download the update. Then, when you select enable photo uploads, your photos will be uploaded automatically. Additionally, like all features of Proton Drive, the transfer is end-to-end encrypted. Thus, you can protect your data from prying digital eyes. At the same time, this encryption applies to the photo itself and all metadata associated with the photo.
When you want to visit photos, the app offers preview options on a variety of file types, including panoramas, portraits, and even time-lapse videos. It organizes it all in a grid view.
Proton Drive has been offering cloud storage service for photos for a long time. However, automatic synchronization came with the new update. The company has not yet made a statement about the iOS version. This feature has been released exclusively for Android users for now.
The update starts appearing today. But it will take a few days for everyone to receive it. A 200GB Proton Drive subscription costs $5 per month. For those who say 200 GB is not enough for me, Proton Drive has a 500 GB plan. For this, you have to pay 13 dollars per month. The company offers a free tier of 1GB.
